Jim Hrivnak (born May 28, 1968 in Montreal, Quebec) is a retired Canadian ice hockey goaltender.

He played for Merrimack College from 1985 to 1989.

Selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1986 NHL Draft, Hrivnak played parts of four seasons with the Capitals before he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Rick Tabaracci in 1993. He only played in 3 games for the Jets before being traded to the St. Louis Blues. He got into 23 games for the Blues in 1993-94.

Hrivnak played in the minors until 1996 when he went to play for the Cologne Sharks in Germany. He continued to play in Europe until his retirement in 2001, playing also in Great Britain and Finland.

He played in a total of 85 NHL games with a record of 34-30-3.
