Jennifer Kranz (from Waukesha, Wisconsin) was a member of the Providence Friars women’s ice hockey team from 1998-2002. Curretly, she is in her fifth season as an assistant coach for the St. Cloud State Huskies women’s ice hockey program.

Coaching careerEdit

High schoolEdit

Kranz was the assistant coach for the girls’ team at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minnesota between 2004 and 2006. In those two seasons, Kranz helped coach the girl’s prep team to the school’s first USA Hockey Girl’s U19 National Championship in 2005. The following season, the school repeated as champions.


Kranz joined St. Cloud State in 2006. Besides coaching, Kranz’s responsibilities include recruiting, working with forwards and monitoring team academics. In 2009-10, Kranz served on the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Banquet committee. She worked with USA Hockey and other members of the local organizing committee to organize the banquet.[1]

USA HockeyEdit

Kranz was the Team Leader at the 15/16's USA Hockey Player Development Camp. The camp was held in Lake Placid in 2006 and 2007. Since 2000, Kranz has been involved with the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association in the role of evaluator.
