Jan Vopat (born March 22, 1973 in Most, Czechoslovakia) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 126 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators and scored 11 goals and 20 assists.

He was chosen 57th overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers. Vopat stayed in the Czech Republic and was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1995.

Over the next three seasons he played in 65 games for the Kings while playing part of each season in the minors. In 1998 Vopat was traded to the Nashville Predators and finally played a full NHL season in 1998-99.

However, near the end of the season, Vopat developed a serious skin rash. Doctors could not isolate the cause. He tried many treatments without luck. Vopat tried comebacks in 1999-00 and 2000-01 but both were cut short by the rash.
