Jackee Snikeris is a women's ice hockey goaltender. Upon her graduation from Yale, she set Bulldogs career records for save percentage, goals-against average and shutouts. In addition, Snikeris has four of the top seven single-season goals-against averages in Yale history

Snikeris holds the Yale career records for save percentage (.931), goals-against average (2.12) and shutouts (16). In addition, she holds the single-season Yale records for save percentage (.941, 2010-11) and goals-against average (1.67, 2008-09) while tying for the shutout record (five, 2008-09). The only player in school history to finish a season with a higher save percentage than Snikeris' .934 (2008-09) was June Mendoza '80, who had a .951 mark in a 13-game season in 1977-78.

In April 2009, Snikeris was selected to USA Hockey's Warren Strelow Goaltending Camp, placing her in a group of 12 of the best goalies in the country.[1]

Personal[]

She graduated from the Yale Athletics Department's Kiphuth Leadership Academy. In the summer of 2010, she worked for Dr. Timothy Hall, Chair of the Department of Surgery, at Stamford Hospital.[9] Snikeris performed research for work published in the Journal of Surgical Radiology. In addition, she has also volunteered at a local hospice and taught skating to local middle schoolers. She was also part of a bone marrow donor testing drive for the National Marrow Donor Program's Be The Match registry. This was done in inspiration of the plight of her Yale teammate Mandi Schwartz.
