Ján Lašák (born April 10, 1979, in Zvolen, Slovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey goaltender who was drafted by the Nashville Predators. He is currently playing for HC Kosice of the Slovak Extraliga.

NHLEdit

Lašák was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 2nd round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, going 65th overall. After spending a season in the ECHL with the Hampton Roads Admirals, he would spend the next three seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL. During the 2002 and 2003 season, Lašák spent time with the Nashville Predators mostly as a recalled backup, but he did start five games in those two seasons.

Over the span of two seasons, Lašák went 0-4-0 in 5 starts with a 4.04 GAA.

European careerEdit

Upon leaving the Nashville Predators, Lašák spent one season with SKA Petersburg. He would later join the HC Moeller Pardubice of the Czech Extraliga, where he has starred since 2005. During that time, Lašák has won 94 games over the past four seasons and has not had a save percentage lower than .925. On 7th October 2009 Lasak joined HC Kosice on loan until 30th April 2010 as competition for current number one goalie Julias Hudacek.
