Jan Flic

Ján Filc (born February 19, 1953, in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia now Slovakia) is a retired Czechoslovak goaltender and a Slovak coach. He is a leading figure in the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation and in sports in the country.

He played for HK Nitra for 10 seasons, retiring in 1984.

Filc's coaching career started as an assistant coach with Slovan Bratislava in 1987. He spent a number of years with clubs in Slovakia and Austria.

In 1998 he was named as coach of the Slovak junior team and led them to bronze medal at the 1999 World Junior Championship. He then coached the national team, winning a silver medal in 2000 and gold in 2002. He retired in 2002 but came back in 2008.
