Igor Liba is a retired Slovak ice hockey player. He was born in November 4, 1960 in Prešov, Czechoslovakia, today in Slovakia. He is 6', 192 lb, and played left wing.

Igor Liba was inducted into the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005.


He played the bulk of his career in Europe. He was drafted 94th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.

Liba did play 10 games with the New York Rangers and 27 with the Los Angeles Kings in 1988-89, scoring a total of 7 goals and 18 assists.

He played for Czechoslovakia in the 1984 Canada Cup and the 1987 Canada Cup, the 1979 and 1980 World Junior Championships, and the World Championships in 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1992.
