Ian Kidd (born May 11, 1964 in Gresham, Oregon) is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman. He played most of his career in the IHL, but did appear in 20 NHL games for the Vancouver Canucks. Kidd played college hockey at the University of North Dakota, winning the NCAA championship in 1987.

He played Tier II Junior "A" hockey for the Penticton Knights from 1982 to 1985 and then college hockey with the University of North Dakota from 1985 to 1987. The Detroit Red Wings chose him in the 1986 NHL Supplemental Draft but never signed him. The Vancouver Canucks signed him as a free agent in 1987.

Kidd spent most of the 1987-88 season with the Fredericton Express of the American Hockey League, but also played in 19 games for the Canucks, scoring 4 goals and 7 assists. The next year he played for the Milwaukee Admirals of the International Hockey League (IHL) and played one last game for the Canucks.

He remained with the Admirals until 1993 when he was traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones. He finished off his career with the Chicago Wolves in 1994-95.
