Gerard Miller (born January 21, 1983 in Cold Spring Harbor, New York) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman.

Collegiate career Edit

Miller played collegiately at the University of Vermont for three seasons. While with Vermont, Miller scored 19 points in 79 games, with his best season coming during his first season in which he scored nine points in 31 games.

Professional career Edit

Miller began his professional career in Germany with the Oberliga's Berlin Junior Polar Bears, the "B" team for the DEL's Eisbären Berlin. In two seasons in Germany, Miller scored 24 points in 71 games. Miller would then play 18 games with the CHL's Amarillo Gorillas during the 2005-06 season, scoring five points.

Miller would spend the 2006-07 season with the Flint Generals of the United Hockey League and had a career high 57 points in 73 games. Miller would spend the 2007-08 season on five different rosters as he started off the season with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones scoring 18 points in 32 games and earned call ups to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs and Binghamton Senators. Cincinnati would trade Gerard to the Phoenix Roadrunners in exchange for goaltender Cory Rudkowsky. Miller would seven points in nine games for Phoenix and earned his third AHL call up of the season, this time with the Milwaukee Admirals notching a goal and an assist in five games.

After the 2007-08 season, Phoenix traded Miller to the Las Vegas Wranglers to complete a trade made earlier in the year in which the Roadrunners received right winger Sean O'Connor. Miller would subsequently sign a contract to play the 2008-09 season with Las Vegas. After nine games with Las Vegas and scoring four assists, Miller was traded to the Reading Royals.
