George Standing (born August 3, 1941 in Toronto, Ontario) was a professional ice hockey right winger who played two games in the National Hockey League with the Minnesota North Stars.

He played Junior "B" with the Weston Dukes in 1958-59 and then junior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros, Guelph Royals, and St Catharines TeePees from 1959 to 1962.

After sitting out the 1962-63 season, Standing turned pro with the Nashville Dixie Flyers of the Eastern Hockey League in 1963-64. He played there for four seasons, making the First All-Star team once and the Second team once.

In 1967 Standing was signed as a free agent by the expansion Minnesota North Stars. He played his only two NHL games with the Stars in 1967-68 and mostly played with the Memphis South Stars. In 1969-70 he returned to the Dixie Flyers for two seasons. He retired in the 1971-72 season after playing 15 games for the St. Petersburg Suns.
