Gander Gardens III was an indoor arena located in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador. The arena officially opened on February 1, 1963 with a 180' x 80' ice surface six dressing rooms and a seating capacity of 1,600. The arena was to be named Paton Arena in honour of Dr. James Paton but it was later decided to name the new hospital in Gander after him. The arena closed in 2000 when the what is now called the Steele Community Centre (then the Gander Community Centre) opened.
