Frederick William Stanfield (born May 4, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a former professional centre who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League from 1964 until 1978.

He played with the St. Catharines TeePees and St. Catharines Black Hawks from 1961-62 through 1963-64. He then graduated to the Chicago Black Hawks but split the next three seasons between the Hawks and the St. Louis Braves.

In 1967 he was part of a blockbuster trade that brought Phil Esposito, Ken Hodge, and Stanfield to the Boston Bruins. Stanfield was a strong second line centre for the Bruins and exceeded 20 goals in every season he played in Boston. He also won the Stanley Cup in 1970 & 1972.

In 1973 he was traded to the Minnesota North Stars with whom he only spent a season and a half. Stanfield was traded to the Buffalo Sabres in January, 1975 and helped Buffalo make the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals. He spent 3 more seasons with the Sabres. He then spent one season with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (1978-79) as a playing-coach before retiring.

Stanfield played 914 career NHL games, scoring 211 goals and 405 assists for 616 points.
