Fort Nelson Yeti

The Fort Nelson Yeti were a men's senior ice hockey team from Fort Nelson, British Columbia.  The team began play with the 2013-14 season.  The team had attempted to join the North Peace Hockey League for the 2013-14 season but were rejected.  The team would play an independent schedule for its' whole existence.  On October 25, 2015 the team announced it would not continue playing citing cost of playing games against larger cities throughout British Columbia Alberta, and the Yukon.  Player commitment was the main issue as many of the games were played on the road.  The team  hosted the 2015 Coy Cup where they would finish third in the four team round robin and would lose in the semifinal to the eventual tournament champions, the Fort St. John Flyers.
