The 2002 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (2002 WJHC) were held in Pardubice and Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. The championships began on December 25, 2001, and finished on January 4, 2002. Russia was the winner, overcoming a 3-1 second period deficit to defeat Canada 5-4 in the gold medal game.
