Waltmckechnie

Walter "Walt" McKechnie (b. June 19th 1947 in London, Ontario, Canada) is a former professional forward who was primarily known for his playmaking abilities, as well as for the high number of teams he has played for.

McKechnie was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs 6th overall in the 1963 NHL Amateur Draft. He wore the Leafs colours, but much later in his career; McKechnie actually began playing pro hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Phoenix Roadrunners in 1967 after having played his junior with the London Nationals of the Ontario Hockey Association. The same season, he joined the Minnesota North Stars. He joined the California Golden Seals in 1971 and stayed there for three seasons before passing to the Boston Bruins. He later played for the Washington Capitals, the Cleveland Barons, the Leafs, the Colorado Rockies and the Detroit Red Wings. He also spent time in the American Hockey League and the Central Hockey League.

In 955 NHL games, McKechnie scored 214 times, adding 392 assists for 606 points.
