Barry Scott Bjugstad (born June 2, 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota) is a retired professional ice hockey forward who played 317 games in the National Hockey League between 1984 and 1992. He played for the Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Los Angeles Kings.

He played hockey at the University of Minnesota from 1979 to 1983. The Minnesota North Stars chose him 181st overall in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Before turning professional Bjugstad played for the United States in the 1984 Olympics.

Right after the Olympics he turned pro with the North Stars. Bjugstad played mostly part-time for the Stars from 1984 to 1988, splitting time between the NHL and the minor pros. The one exception was the 1985-86 season when he scored 43 goals and 33 assists in 80 games.

Bjugstad was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1988 and then signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings in 1989 but was never able to duplicate his 1985-86 season. He retired in 1993.

In 317 NHL games, Bjugstad scored 76 goals and 68 assists.
