Pamela Zgoda (born May 9, 1990) is an ice hockey player for the Mercyhurst Lakers women’s ice hockey program.
Playing career[]
Zgoda played hockey at the Nichols school in Buffalo. In her senior season, she accumulated 13 goals and 34 assists in 30 games. She was 2007-08 MVP of her team while claiming the CISAA Championship. In addition, she also participated in volleyball.
NCAA[]
Zgoda committed to Mercyhurst in July 2008. She was in the same freshman class with Bailey Bram, Meghan Corbett, Kelley Steadman, Jess Jones, Julie Hersey, Anna Johnson, and Hillary Pattenden.[1] She appeared in 36 games as a freshman and accumulated seven points (all assists). Her first collegiate point came in her first collegiate game, an assist at Boston University. She assisted on the game winning goal scored by Jess Jones on January 31, 2009 vs. rival Wayne State.[2]
In her sophomore season, she participated in all 36 games. She improved on her previous point total by registering two points and finishing the season with a +29 plus / minus rating. She scored her first collegiate goal on January 16, 2010 versus the Clarkson Golden Knights. On February 19, 2010, she had a season-high two assists as the Lakers bested Wayne State by an 8-0 tally.
