Playing career[]

At Lexington High School in Massachusetts, she earned four letters in ice hockey. In addition, she earned three letters from Lexington in field hockey. In 2010, she led Lexington to a 16-0 regular season record and the Middlesex League championship. She also played with the Assabet Valley Girls hockey team and led them to four national championships.

NCAA[]

Riley joined the Providence Friars in the autumn of 2010. Her older sister Leigh was a teammate, marking the first time that siblings were teammates for the Friars since Marlene and Michelle Ricci in 1988. Riley made her NCAA debut on January 3, 2011 versus the Maine Black Bears, and stopped 27 shots. She played in two periods of play versus the nationally ranked Boston University Terriers on January 9, 2011. On January 7, 2012, Riley stopped 24 shots, including 13 in the final stanza as the Friars defeated the Robert Morris Colonials by a 3-1 tally. With the win, Riley improved her record to 3-1-2 in the season.

Personal[]

Her sister, Leigh Riley, competed for Providence from 2007 to 2011.[3] In their hometown of Lexington, Massachusetts, the sisters have been part of a local effort to aid special-needs children.[4]
