Morgan Richardson (born June 17, 1994) is a women’s ice hockey player that has competed for the Canadian National Women's Under 18 team.
Playing career[]
Richardson played Peewee AA boys hockey in Ohio, and won a silver medal at the US under 14 regionals in 2006-07. During the 2011–12 Canada women's national ice hockey team season, she was a member of the Canadian National Under 18 team that participated in a three game series vs. the USA in August 2011.[1]
She was part of the gold medal winning Team Ontario Red squad at the 2011 Canadian National Women's Under-18 Championships[2]
On Thursday, February 17th, 2011, the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Canada Winter Games team played a group of Team OWHA selects (birth years 1994 and 1995) at the Westwood Arena in Toronto. All players wore a purple heart with the letters “D.I.F.D.” on their left shoulder, in honour of Morgan's younger sister, the late Daron Richardson. Luke Richardson coached the OWHA select team, with Morgan playing for the selects.[3]

Her father Luke Richardson played 21 seasons in the NHL and is a Hockey Canada alumni. Her sister Daron Richardson passed away on November 13, 2010.[4]
