Kori Cheverie competed in ice hockey for the St. Mary’s Huskies women’s ice hockey program. She was an Academic All-Canadian, team captain and multiple conference nominee for the Marion Hillard Award. After her playing career in CIS, Cheverie also competed for the Toronto CWHL franchise in their inaugural season of 2010-11.[1]
Hockey Canada[]
Cheverie was the only Nova Scotian player in Atlantic University Sport invited to the 2008 CIS All-Stars Selection Camp. [2] The camp was used to determine which CIS athletes would represent Hockey Canada at the Winter Universiade. On October 27, 2008, Cheverie was named to the team that competed at the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Winter Universiade in Harbin, China. She would be part of the Canadian squad that would claim the gold medal in the womens ice hockey event.
