Julia Marty (born 16 April 1988 in Nussbaumen, Switzerland) is a member of the Swiss Olympic women's hockey team. Her twin sister, Stefanie, played at the University of New Hampshire in 2007-08.
Playing career[]
Marty played for the University of New Hampshire in the 2007-08 season on defense. She scored three goals and added seven assists for 10 points along with a plus-24 rating in 31 games.[1] Prior to her NCAA career, she played for EV Zug in the top Swiss league from 2003-07. She was an All-Star selection in 2005 and participated in the European Champions Cup, helped EV Zug to a third-place finish in 2004. She also skated for DHC Langenthal and the EHC Wettingen-Baden boys team.
Northeastern[]
In 2008-09, Marty set career highs for goals, assists, and points in a season despite playing in only 25 games. She finished the season with four goals and thirteen assists. In the semifinal of the 2011 Hockey East tournament, Marty scored a goal as the Huskies upset Boston University by a 4-2 tally.[2]
