Johnaiken

John Judson Aiken (born January 1, 1932 in Arlington, Massachusetts) is an American former ice hockey goaltender. He played one game for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League during the 1957-1958 season[1].

He was the standby goaltender at the Boston Garden in case one of the two goalies was injured. This was before NHL teams carried more than one goalie. On March 13, 1958, Jacques Plante was injured at 6:15 in the second period with a concussion and forced to leave the game. Aiken was brought in and let in four quick goals. He only let in one more in the third period but the Bruins won 7-3.

Aiken was also the Boston Bruins practice goalie for 13 seasons.
