Jackmarkle

Jack Markle (May 15, 1907 – June 25, 1956) was a professional ice hockey player who played eight games in the National Hockey League. Born in Thessalon, Ontario, he played with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He played junior hockey with the Owen Sound Greys from 1923 to 1927. He scored 31 goals in only 16 games as the Greys won the Memorial Cup in 1927.

Markle turned pro with the London Tecumsehs in 1927-28 and then played for the Hamilton Tigers in the International League. In 1930 he joined the Syracuse Stars for a ten year stay.

He was loaned to the Toronto Maple Leafs for eight games in the 1935-36 season, scoring one assist.

In his last active season, 1939–40, he was the playing-coach of the Stars.
