The Smiths Falls Settlers are a junior hockey team located in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The team was announced on May 13, 2016. The team is part of the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League which started play in the fall of 2016.
The team began play as the Glengarry Highlanders for the 2016-17 season based out of the Maxville and District Sports Complex.
After the 2016-17 season the team relocated to the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario and were renamed the Smiths Falls Settlers. The team name comes from a previous edition of the Smiths Falls Settlers who played in the Ontario Junior B Hockey League from 1977 to 1982
