Cayley Mercer (born January 18, 1994) is a women's ice hockey player from Ontario. She has represented Canada in numerous international tournaments.

Playing career[]

She won gold at the 2009 Ontario Bantam AA Provincials and a silver at the 2010 Ontario Intermediate Provincials.[1] At the 2011 Canada Winter Games (women's) tournament, Mercer claimed a silver medal with Team Ontario. Mercer served as an alternate captain for the Bluewater Hawks as they won a bronze medal at the 2011 PWHL championships. She participated in the National Championships in Saguenay Quebec in November of 2011, where she won gold with Team Ontario Red. She has played for Canada's Women's Under 18 team twice, winning a silver at the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden in 2011, and a gold medal at the World Championships in Prague Czech Republic in 2012. At the 2012 World Championships Mercer was named 1 of 3 top players for Team Canada, and also led the team in points. In 2012, she served as captain of her junior team, the Bluewater Hawks, and led them to a gold medal at both the PWHL championships and Provincials.

On January 16, 2012, it was announced that Mercer committed to join the Clarkson Golden Knights women's ice hockey program in autumn 2012. [2]
