Cape Town is a city of about 3,500,000 people in southwestern South Africa. It is the second largest city in the country.
This city was the host of the 2002 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships Division II Group A games from March 31 - April 6, 2002. It was also the host of the 2005 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships Division III games from March 3-9, 2005. It is scheduled to be the host city of the 2011 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships Division III games from April 11-17, 2011.
