Caitlin MacDonald (born May 8, 1992[1] is a women’s ice hockey player.
Playing career[]
MacDonald played her prep school hockey with the Balmoral Hall Blazers.
Hockey Canada[]
In April 2010, Lacquette was part of the Canadian Under 18 squad that captured gold at the IIHF Under-18 World Championships. As a member of the gold medal winning squad, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series.[2] In addition, she participated in the Canada Celebrates Event on June 30 in Edmonton, Alberta which recognized the Canadian Olympic and World hockey champions from the 2009-10 season.[3]
CIS[]
MacDonald joined the Manitoba Bisons women's ice hockey program in the autumn of 2009 as a seventeen year old player. Of note, she was the first Bison to be named CIS rookie of the year in women’s hockey since the award was implemented in 1999-2000. MacDonald became the first freshman in three years to be selected as a CIS First-team All-Canadian. MacDonald played in all 24 conference games for Manitoba with her 15 points (six goals, nine assists) ranking second among all Canada West defenders. In addition, her 15 points ranked third overall on the Bisons. On October 30, 2009, MacDonald scored a game winning goal against the UBC Thunderbirds. Every one of her six goals during her rookie season were power play makers (ranking sixth overall in Canada West). She helped the Bisons reach an 18-6-0 mark and reach the 2010 Canada West final. She appeared with the Bisons in the 2011 CIS national women's ice hockey championship tournament.[4]
