This is the 1998 tournament for the University Cup, the CIAU Canadian university championship. It was played at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and was hosted by the University of Saskatchewan. The format reverted back to the 6-team, 2 pools format last used in 1987. It would remain in use through the 2014 tournament.
