Karley Sylvester (born January 30, 1993)[1] was the winner of the 2011 Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award.[2]

Playing career[]

She helped the Warroad Warriors to a 27-3-0 overall record and their second consecutive state championship in 2011. Sylvester finished her senior season with totals of 30-47--77 in 27 games. Prior to Warroad High School, she played for Little Falls (Minn.) Flyers from 1995-2007 and competed for the Minnesota Jr. Whitecaps in 2009-10

NCAA[]

Sylvester's first career NCAA point was recorded on September 23rd 2011, in a contest against the Lindenwood Lady Lions. She had scored her first goal on the 23rd of September, while her first assist came the following day in a 13-0 whitewash of Lindenwood. Of note, Sylvester was the first freshman of the 2011-12 Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey season to net a goal.[3]
