This is the 1968-69 season of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
After the SJHL ceased in 1966 when the Western Canada Junior Hockey League was created, it resumed in 1968 when the Regina Pats, Weyburn Red Wings, and Moose Jaw Canucks withdrew from the Western Canada Junior Hockey League. That league was suspended from Memorial Cup play by the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association and these three teams wanted to play for that cup.
