This is the 1959-60 season of the Metropolitan Montreal Junior League:

Notes[]

The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association ruled that all teams wishing to play for the Memorial Cup had to play in a league.

The Ottawa-Hull Canadiens, the predecessor of the Brockville Canadiens, had not played in a league in the past three seasons. To get the Brockville team into the Memorial Cup playoffs, they were entered into the Metropolitan League this season. There was never any intention of their playing in the league playoffs. Instead they went directly into the 1959-60 Eastern Canada Memorial Cup Playoffs.

The Lakeshore Flyers withdrew on December 4th. They had a record of 1-11-0-2 with 38 goals scored and 88 against. They were having problems both on and off the ice. Their record was erased.
