The Frontenacs celebrate their league title in 1955. Included are Al Langlois, top left, and Willie O'Ree, bottom left.

The Frontenacs were given a franchise in the Quebec Junior Hockey League in 1953 when the Quebec Citadelles left the league to join the Ontario Hockey Association. During the 1953-54 season, the Citadelles folded and merged with the Frontenacs.

The team won the Quebec Junior Hockey League titles in both seasons that they played in - 1953-54 & 1954-55.

When the Quebec Junior Hockey League folded in 1955, the Frontenacs joined the Sagueney Junior League and won the title in 1955-56. They then joined the Metropolitan Montreal Junior League in 1956 because of better competition and cheaper travel costs.
