This is the 1936-37 season of the Montreal Senior Group:
The Quebec Aces, who had won the Quebec Intermediate title last season, were admitted into the league. This gave the Montreal Senior Group two teams outside Montreal. The Aces went on to win the league championship in their first season.
This was the Group's last season under this name. The league was then renamed the Quebec Senior Hockey League.
