1937-38 Cornwall Flyers

Senior Team[]

History[]

The Cornwall Flyers were a senior team in Cornwall, Ontario.

They started out in the Ottawa City Senior League in 1936-37. In 1937-38 they won the league title and advanced all the way to the 1937-38 Allan Cup Final which they lost.

The following season they moved to Quebec's Provincial Senior League. That league was trying to challenge the older and more established Quebec Senior Hockey League and the Allan Cup finalist was a big draw.

But the next season the Flyers jumped again - this time to the Quebec Senior Hockey League.

The team was never again able to win a league championship.

In 1942-43 the Quebec Senior Hockey League's team in Cornwall was known as the Cornwall Army.
