Eddie "the Stork" Lack[1] (born January 5, 1988) is a professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing in the National Hockey League's (NHL) Carolina Hurricanes organization.
Playing career
Lack began his career playing for Leksands IF in the HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden's second highest league.[1] In 2008-09 Lack posted 2.02 goals against average (GAA) and .930 save percentage in 32 games.[2] After three seasons moved up to the Elitserien playing for Brynas IF, where he backed-up Florida Panthers' prospect Jacob Markstrom. Lack played in 14 games and registered a 2.67 GAA and a .911 save percentage.[2] Following his year in the Elitserien Lack was signed by the Vancouver Canucks to two-year entry-level contract.[3]
Playing style
Lack is a big goaltender who uses his size to his advantage looking through traffic to see the puck, and aggressively challenging shooters.[1] Despite his size he has good lateral movement, covers the bottom of the net well,[1] has good balance, and is positionally sound.[2]
