Edward Ferguson Gilbert (born March 12, 1952, in Hamilton, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played 166 games in the National Hockey League for the Kansas City Scouts and Pittsburgh Penguins. He also played 29 games in the World Hockey Association for the Cincinnati Stingers.

He played junior hockey for the Hamilton Red Wings from 1969 to 1972. The Montreal Canadiens chose him 46th overall in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.

Gilbert turned pro in 1972 with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs. After two seasons there he was chosen by the Kansas City Scouts in the 1974 NHL Expansion Draft. He had an excellent rookie season in the NHL with 16 goals and 22 assists for the Scouts in 1974-75. A slow start in 1975-76 got him a trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Gilbert could not get his game back and he retired in 1977.

In 1978-79 Gilbert made a one-season comeback with the Cincinnati Stingers.

In the NHL Gilbert scored 21 goals and 31 assists in 166 games.
