Edward Joseph "Eddy" Beers (born October 12, 1959, in Merritt, British Columbia) is a retired professional ice hockey forward who played 250 games in the National Hockey League. He was nearly a point per game player in his time in the NHL, but his NHL career was cut short by injury.
He was not drafted by any NHL team and was signed as a free agent by the Calgary Flames in 1982 after he was finished with the University of Denver. After aplitting the 1982-83 season between Calgary and the Colorado Flames he broke out with 36 goals for the NHL team in 1983-84. He continued with 28 in 1984-85. Calgary traded him to the St. Louis Blues in the middle of the 1985-86 season and he showed some scoring spark with 7 goals in 24 games with the Blues/
In the pre-season of 1986-67 he suffered a career-ending herniated disk and had to retire.
