History[]

The East York Lyndhursts were a senior B team that played in Toronto, Ontario.

They were named after and sponsored by a local car dealer.

They made it to the Ontario Hockey Association Senior B semi finals in their first two seasons. That got them an invitation to be Canada's representative at the 1954 World Championship.

This was the Soviet Union's first entry in the World Championship and the Lyndhursts lost the final game to them.

The Lyndhursts played only a partial season in the East York Major League in 1953-54. They got a bye to the final which they played (and lost) when they returned after the World Championship.

That year they also played an exhibition schedule in Europe. See 1953-54 East York Lyndhursts.
