Duncfisher

Duncan "Dunc" Fisher (born August 30, 1927 in Regina, Saskatchewan) is a retired professional player who played 275 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and Detroit Red Wings.

Fisher started out in junior hockey with the Regina Pats and the Regina Abbotts for three seasons from 1944-47.

As the property of the New York Rangers. Fisher played for two and a half seasons for the Rangers before being traded to the Boston Bruins in the middle of the 1950-51 NHL season.

By 1952-53 his NHL career was effectively over. A solid offensive player, he was prone to keeping his head down and therefore vulnerable to being hit.

Fisher spent eight seasons with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) and won the Calder Cup in 1957-58. He also was a first team all-star in 1957-58 and a second team all-star in 1953-54, 1954-55, 1955-56, and 1956-57. Fisher led the AHL in goals in 1957-58 with 41.

He played eight games with the Detroit Red Wings in 1958-59. Fisher retired in 1960.

His NHL totals were 275 games played, and 45 goals and 70 assists.
