Derek MacKenzie (born June 11, 1981 in Sudbury, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets. He was drafted 128th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. In the 2008 off-season he signed a two year two way deal with the Blue Jackets.
His father, Ken MacKenzie, is the former coach of the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League.
