The Rage were only the second ever, and only while they played, NAHL team in Canada. The team folded in 2012 after an aborted attempt to join the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Several years later, the NAHL franchise rights were sold to the Pittston, Pennsylvania based Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights organization who were playing in the Eastern Hockey League and the team began play with the 2015-16 season.
