David Musil (born April 9, 1993) a Canadian-Czech ice hockey player who is currently playing for the Vancouver Giants in the WHL. He was a first round draft pick, selected 12th overall by SKA Saint Petersburg, in the 2010 KHL Junior Draft. Musil was selected 1st in the second round, 31st overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers.[1]
Musil was born in Canada, and raised in Delta, British Columbia, but played for the Czech Republic National Team in both the 2009 and 2011 IIHF World U18 Championships.[2]
He is the son of former NHL player Frank Musil. His uncle, Bobby Holik, also played in the NHL, and his grandfather, Jaroslav Holík, competed in ice hockey at the 1972 Winter Olympics with the Czechoslovakia national ice hockey team.
