Dave Tomlinson (born May 8, 1969 in North Vancouver, British Columbia) is a retired professional ice hockey centre. He played 42 games in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets and Florida Panthers. After his NHL career, he went on to play 10 years of professional hockey in Europe.

He played for the Boston University Terriers from 1987 to 1991 and was chosen by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1989 NHL Supplemental Draft. Tomlinson spent 1991-92 and 1992-93 mostly with the St. John's Maple Leafs, playing only six games for the NHL Leafs.

In 1993 he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets for Jason Cirone and did get into 31 games for the Jets. But the Jets did not re-sign him and Tomlinson ended up with the Florida Panthers in 1994-95. He played only five games for the Panthers in 1994-95 but did score 110 points for the Cincinnati Cyclones that season and 96 the next.

He had only played in 42 NHL games in five seasons, scoring a goal and three assists. At this point in 1996 he moved to Europe to play for Adler Mannheim in Germany. Tomlinson played for that team for six seasons, and then played four more seasons in Europe. He retired in 2006.
