David Gans (born June 6, 1964 in Brantford, Ontario) played for the Los Angeles Kings during the 1982-83 and the 1985-86 seasons.

He played Junior "B" hockey for the Brantford Penguins in 1980-81 and major junior for the Oshawa Generals in 1981-82, 1982-83, and 1983-84. He was a high scorer who was not afraid to mix it up. He played for the Generals in the 1983 Memorial Cup tournament.

The Los Angeles Kings chose him 64th overall in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. They called Gans up for 3 games in the 1982-83 season. He was scoreless in these games.

Gans turned pro in 1985-86 and spent most of the season in the American Hockey League. The Kings brought him up for another 3 games in which Gans was again scoreless.

He played another two seasons in the minor pros and then retired in 1988.
