Darrylolsen

Darryl Olsen (born October 7, 1966 in Calgary, Alberta) was a professional defenceman who played one game for the Calgary Flames in the 1991-92 season.

He played Tier II Junior "A" hockey for the St. Albert Saints in 1984-85 and was chosen 185th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Olsen then went to Northern Michigan University from 1985 to 1989 and played three games for the Canadian National Team in 1988-89.

Olsen turned pro with the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in 1989 and went on to play three fine years with that team, scoring 38 goals and 123 assists in 207 games. He got his one game in with the Flames in 1991-92 but never got another chance.

After playing another two years in the minor pros, Olsen left for Europe in 1994. He played there for three years, one each in Italy, Austria, and Great Britain and retired in 1997.

In 1998 Olsen made a three-year comeback, playing in both Germany and North America before retiring for good in 2000.
