Danny Lorenz (born December 12, 1969 in Murrayville, British Columbia) is a retired ice hockey goaltender. He played in eight NHL games for the New York Islanders.

He played junior hockey for the Seattle Thunderbirds from 1986 to 1990. The New York Islanders chose him 58th overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Lorenz won the Del Wilson Trophy in 1988-89 and was a First All-Star in the Western Hockey League in 1988-89 and 1989-90.

From 1990 to 1994 he played in the Islanders' system and managed to play eight NHL games. Lorenz was oftemn the third goalie on the team's depth chart.

In 1994 he signed as a free agent with the Florida Panthers but was again third on the team and saw no more NHL action. He left for Europe in 2001 and played three seasons in Great Britain. After playing for the New Mexico Scorpions in 2003-04 he retired.

He is now a youth hockey director of the Kent Valley Hockey Association in Kent, Washington.
