The Danbury Arena is a 3,005-seat multi-purpose arena in Danbury, Connecticut. It was built in 1999 and renovated and expanded in 2004. The Danbury Arena was the former home of the Danbury Trashers of the United Hockey League from 2004–2006, and the New England Stars of the North Eastern Hockey League from 2006-2007. In 2008, the Danbury Mad Hatters of the Eastern Professional Hockey League signed a lease with the Arena, allowing the team to be a tenant.[2]

On December 27, 2009, the newly formed Federal Hockey League announced that the Danbury Arena would be home to the Danbury Whalers, bringing back the coveted Whalers back to Connecticut in a different form. The team is owned by Danbury Whalers, LLC.[3] On April 3, 2015, the Danbury Ice Arena did not want to renew their contract with the Danbury Whalers and gave them a notice to evict by April 17 leaving the last remaining team from the inaugural FHL season homeless.[4] The team would relocate across the state border to Brewster, New York and become known as the Stateline Whalers and then eventually the Brewster Bulldogs.

On June 27, 2015 a new Federal Hockey League team was announced for the Danbury Ice arena having signed a six year lease. The  Danbury Titans would play in the arena for two seasons before folding.

The arena would add the Danbury Hat Tricks for the 2019-20 season and then the Connecticut Whale of the National Women's Hockey League would announce they would be relocating to the arena as well for the 2019-20 season.
