The team is based out of the Max Ulin Rink (a public owned rink) near the campus (3 miles/5km away) in Milton, Massachusetts.
The program appears to have started at the varsity level for the 1983-84 season. The team has been a member of ECAC Northeast or one of its ancestor leagues since that date. The team will join the Commonwealth Coast Conference (its' all-sport conference already) starting in 2016-17 when the ECAC Northeast morphs into the CCC.
The team won the ECAC Northeast Conference Tournament in 2005, 2010, and 2011.
The team earned a berth in the 2004, 2005, 2010, and 2011 NCAA Divsion III tournaments.
The school was able to get a February 28, 2015 conference tournament game in at home when unprecidented snow fall in the greater Boston area led the rink owners (government-controlled Department of Conservation and Recreation) to close the Ulin Rink (and several others in the Boston area) from February 21st until the 28th to remove snow from the roof. Ironically, the rink reopened the same day that the roof at nearby Metropolis Skating Rink in Canton, Massachusetts collapsed narrowly avoiding a youth hockey team.
