Craig Coxe (born January 21, 1964 in Chula Vista, California) is a retired American professional ice hockey player.
Coxe played in 235 NHL games for 4 NHL franchises. While he is perhaps best known for his skills as an enforcer/fighter, he also is known for having scored the first goal in San Jose Sharks franchise history on October 4, 1991 vs. the Vancouver Canucks. Oddly enough, the Canucks were the team from which he was claimed in the 1991 NHL Expansion Draft.
He played junior hockey with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League and was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 4th round, 66th overall, in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.
Coze was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 1984. From 1985-86 thorugh 1991-92, he played in the NHL with the Canucks, Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, and the San Jose Sharks. From then on to his retirement in 2000, Coxe played for a large number of minor pro teams.
