Colin Alexander Patterson (born May 11, 1960 in Rexdale, Ontario) is a former ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He played hockey for three years at Clarkson University before signing as a free agent with the Calgary Flames. A skillful defensive forward, usually playing left wing, he was a finalist for the Selke Trophy in 1989. He joined the Flames in 1983, and won the Stanley Cup with that team in 1989. After leaving the Flames in 1991, he played two seasons for the Buffalo Sabres, then one year in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, before retiring. In 2005, Patterson was inducted to the Clarkson Athletic Hall of Fame.

He was an assistant coach of the Kootenay Ice from 2003 to 2007. In 2008-09 he was the coach of the Peterborough Phantoms in the United Kingdom and won the Coach of the Year Trophy (IHJUK).

In the NHL Patterson played in 504 regular season games and scored 96 goals and 109 assists. He also scored 12 goals and 17 assists in 85 playoff games.
